Depth of Field Play – Blurring the Fence

One of my favorite things to do in photography, is to to play with very narrow depth of field,

Here’s a recent picture I took of the fence at Osgood Hall in Toronto:

Artistic Fish Eye Play–Skyscrapers Towering Above

Back in January, I rented a couple of Wide-Angle lenses to take some pictures of a famous theatre in Toronto.  I will have more pictures from that shoot in the coming weeks.

I chose to extend my rental of the 2 lenses, and here’s one of my favorite pictures:

Toronto Fire Station Tower

A few weeks back, I was driving around Downtown Toronto, and decided to have a little fun taking pictures in the late afternoon.

Here’s One of those pictures.

It’s the tower of one of Toronto’s oldest fire stations,
located on College St, West Spadina.  http://goo.gl/maps/RLH2z

Duomo di Firenze

Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore
The first “Hail Mary” picture I took with my father’s Nikon Coolpix 4500 was this one, and appropriately, it’s the ceiling of the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore
I was reaching stretched out with only one chance to get this shot.. and Didn’t turn out so bad.  It was also taken 10 years ago.
Using the Standard 7.85-32mm (38-155mm equivalent) Lens
Zoomed at 7.85mm (38mm equivalent) with f/2.6 1/6s ISO 100
Picture of the Cieling of Basilica Di Santa maria del Fiore
Unfortunately, few other pictures of the Basilica turned out well enough to present.

Snow in Tehran– 10 years ago

The first digital camera I worked with, was the Nikon Coolpix 4500 which I had convinced my father to buy in December 2012.
We had finally come into the age of digital cameras, and it wasn’t long after that we took a 7 week trip to Europe and Iran – Although mostly private family photos at multiple weddings, there are a few to share.
My Favorites Of a snow scene in Tehran’s famous Vali-Asr Avenue, Taken with my father's Nikon Coolpix 4500 Using the Standard 7.85-32mm (38-155mm equivalent) Lens
Zoomed at 7.85mm (38mm equivalent) with f/6.7 1/187s ISO 100

The most interesting part of the picture, is it’s taken from the inside of a car, with my hand out the window and above the roof. (That the roof of the car you see in the Lower right corner).
It was one of a number of Shoot & Pray shots. There’s more here
